Lack Of Respect In Our Buses

September 28, 2009

This is a serious issue which I want to address in this post. The word “Respect” has died years back in our local transport. This little island, Mauritius, the so-called heaven is not the real heaven in this contemporary world. We are advancing technologically but we are not able to know thyself.

question

A concrete example is the lack of respect in our buses nowadays. I resolved to write on this issue after today’s happening. I was traveling in a bus to Port-Louis along with my cousin. It was around 11 A.M. and the bus was full with passengers.

At a particular bus-stop, some guys entered the bus. The quiet atmosphere in the bus was disrupted at that instance itself as these guys were making much noise in the bus. Foul languages, shameless jokes and bitter words were all that could be heard from the back of the bus. No actions were taken from the conductors, drivers and even the passengers. I was also at the back of the bus. I was not able to hear all these harsh words which were disrupting the atmosphere in the bus. I rebelled against them and it is true that actions do speak louder than words as they were just tight-lipped. Not even a single voice was heard!

What I want to conclude and to make everyone realize is that actions come from us! In the bus, you may have your mother, father, brother, sister, friends, or any other relatives traveling. Just ponder over the situation in the bus! How will you feel? You feel like raged isn’t it! Sure, because they are related to you but for the sake of mankind, think of all those who share the same relationship with others. We have to discourage this lack of respect in our buses. Just ignoring the situation is not the solution.

lightbulb idea

I want to suggest some good ways to take actions on the spot:

  1. Call the urgent police services (999)
  2. Request the driver/conductor to stop the bus at the nearest police station
  3. Talk to the people in the bus, seek their corporation and take actions against people disrupting the peace in the bus
  4. If you are confident enough, then commit to yourself and rebel against them

These simple actions will discourage this evilness in our buses. Restoring respect will not be easy. It is not a simple process but it surely starts with a single step. It starts from YOU! Don’t just sit and listen. Stand up and act!

And if you have ever participated in this act of trouble-making in buses, then think over it again and never repeat this shameful act which is a matter of concern these days.

It has become a culture in our little island. Our first religion, when asked, must be that of Humanity!

Friends, don’t just read and ignore this. Please pass on this post so that it can create good awareness in our little island. Remember: Losers LET it happen; Winners MAKE it happen!

Think on this issue, think of your relatives in the bus, think of every citizen as related to you by the sacred bond of mankind, think and believe in yourself….REBELLION!

This lack of respect must cease! We have to unite our thoughts towards global peace and to focus on restoring respect, may it be buses or anywhere in this world which concerns mankind!

Thanks to read and to pass on this post.

Photography Flows In My Veins…

September 18, 2009

IMGA0841

Photography is life itself for me. Time is such a precious commodity and capturing it is the greatest challenge as a human.

Life after death is not a myth anymore and it can be validated through photography. We live through our pictures eternally.

Capturing it in the right way, the right time, in the right angle is what matters.

I want to promote photography as a wonderful art. It is not only about expression of feelings but about expressing oneself completely. Lifetime is so precious but unfortunately, it comes to an end. With photography, there is no end to life. You continue to live through all your photos. The expression in each picture differs.

Don’t let your camera idle on the table. Connect to the internet, research on photographic styles. Switch on your camera and get to work. Start this wonderful journey of capturing time. Capture yourself as from now and you shall, remain immortal through photography. It is my passion and my way of life…

My Passion: Photography and Cinematography

September 10, 2009

Life incorporates umpteen field of interest. I have always tried to make the first step in various fields to have a better understanding of what it is like.

From all the leisure, hobbies and activities, I can assign my highest priority to Photography and Cinematography.

Photography

It is not just about holding a camera in the hands! Photography is an art for me. It is a great source of inspiration. People have reached to the highest level of invention and advancement but they have never been able to go back in the past and to move forward in the future. This is impossible for everyone. But as a passionate of photography, it is possible. Photography is about capturing time which will live forever. Time is ever-fleeting. Life is temporary. Don’t lose it. Capture yourself in the memory of this existence. This whole planet is like a great garden where we are all like flowers. We are such flowers that hold fragrance and bloom magnificently. We can’t lose this precious gift that God gave us – Life. Tomorrow, we are here or not, our memories will live forever and will be an example for others to capture their wonderful life which is a golden gift of God.

Photography is not only about focusing on the outer world, but its greatest challenge is about capturing the inner emotions. Capturing our own emotions is a great challenge for me. I never mingle photography and modeling. There is a clear difference between both.

I never stop with photographs as they are. Only looking for the right angle, right expression, right look, right resolution, right contrast, right brightness, right environment, right lighting and right person is not photography for me! I give life to all my pictures through editing. Editing is an art in itself though it is a step-to-step guide by software. But the imagination to fit the right picture in the right place is of utmost requirement!

Here I present some of my pictures with editing:

This picture has been taken a long time back. In this one, you can notice that the real background has been removed and a white background has been applied to match the color of the shirt and thus, making the picture more lively.

I have a long list of collection of pictures. I try to reflect different things in different pictures. In these pictures, you will be able FINto notice the varying mood swings and emotions.

Cinematography

As a passionate of acting and creativity, I have many big and concrete projects which I want to realise. I have to opt for the right way to reach them. I love Music. Music is in me. I love the screen. I love the camera. I love creativity. We just need ” Action….Cut”. I have lots of ideas of movie-making. This is my passion. I am willing to share this with you all.

Cinematography is a way of expression for me, a way of revolutionizing things, a way of seeing things differently or simple a way of life! Photography and Cinematography can be mixed together to produce creativity on the screen.

All I wish is that my projects become true with time!

Road Accident: Serious Thinking Required!

September 8, 2009

This is too much on our roads. Such an early morning, in our little island Mauritius, we have witnessed such a deadly accident.

What is meant by road safety then?

There has been 4 deaths confirmed till now. The bus is a CNT bus which has crashed agaist a truck. My post is not about how the accident but WHY the accident happened!!!

Can you imagine friends, some people leaving early for work with much hope to bring some income at the end of the month for their family and all of a sudden confirmed death cases are heard. Who is responsible for this? The people who are sacrificing everything for the sake of their family or the negligence on our roads today?

You will find the answer! We have been hearing of road developments since time ago but it has been just in words, nothing is seen in action! Today, this accident gave us a warning that tomorrow it can be our turn! When will the state realize that road safety is the most crucial issue after health!

Here are some pictures of the terrible accident of this early morning:

(Motorway between Port-Louis to Reduit)

Image484 (2) Sitting idle and mourning over this accident will bring us nothing except from another risk of such a terrible accident. It is not possible for us all to rebel against road development authority or other responsible. But we can certainly help to blog and to share information on road safety. Share your own post and increase the awareness that vehicles need to be more responsible while driving. More traffic officers and police officers must be on the road to control the traffic. We can see only one constable at the start of the motorway, one in the mid and some others at the end. IS THIS THE RIGHT WAY ??!! The Government need to invest more in road safety. Prevention is always better than cure. So, if any member of the government body is reading this post, then I hope you will be touched to recommend such actions.

There are lots of issues also associated with this road accident. Stop and Think!

Friends, help in sharing this information to others. Help in increasing the road safety in our little island. It is heaven indeed and we can’t let our heaven become a hell. So, it starts from YOU! Help in this awareness campaign. Thanks.

Blogging : A Passion, A Need or A Culture?

September 4, 2009

I was deciphering on the above question. We can see an expansion of the virtual world in this contemporary age where the world has finally become a global village. Communication has been eased in all the ways. Apart from the various delight of the virtual world including social networking sites, discussion forums and education platform, we can see a rise in the world of blogging.

BLOG

I have been pondering on whether blogging is a passion, a need or a culture for those who indulge in this interest. The number of internet users have seen a very high increase in the past few years. Technology has enabled global communication. For me, blogging is a way of self-expression and is my passion. Blogging helps me to share what I think with people around the world and to assess the feasibility of my ideas through feedbacks of visitors.

Many people indulge in blogging because they face peer pressure and they unwillingly need to sign up for a blog space where they post out what is on their mind.  Does this really achieve quality in the content of the post? The answer would be NO because the blogger will not have a commitment in his blog activities.

stress

On the other hand, some bloggers find it a Need to blog because they want to make an impact of their ideas in the world. They want to secure a share of their voice in the world. In other words, they maintain democracy. A blog enhances democracy as it promotes freedom of expression. The need to blog can often be seen in the virtual space as many bloggers attempt to set up surveys, petitions and other revolution.

revolution

We can also notice other blogger who love to blog and blog out of passion. Blogging has become a culture online. A culture which is about sharing of ideas. Together we can think and make an impact. The ideas through a blog is worth if it is fair. I want to encourage all those who have never blog and who are visiting this site, to join the blogging space and to get a right of expression in the world. Your ideas can help people!
